The Cool Bunch a.k.a. the 1K club

Well, this has been delayed for too long but here goes:

The English Language Society

Getting teachers to pose properly is more difficult than getting the kids to

FINALLY!!!

This group of students have really showed their capabilities.

Even more so the president which did most of the work!

Getting everyone to stand still is indeed a gargantuan task

Well, only the pro at the left knows how to rock a picture

Gong Xi Fa Cai!!!

Just yesterday, our English Language Society had a Mandarin Orange Peeling Competition which saw quite a good turn out... the kids were more excited in joining it than actually designing the oranges.. but I gotta say that the final results were more than satisfactory and some even came up with very good abstracts!

Congratulations to all who participated, the winners will receive prizes and get their designs/pictures posted on the bulletin board!

Chinese New Year Quizzes

on Monday, 9 January 2012
As usual, the English Language Society is at it's best again!!!

GONG XI FA CAI TO SMK BUKIT GARAM II WITH QUIZZES AND COMPETITIONS!!!

Here are the ads and what we are doing:

Sorry for not being able to rotate it... bladdy uploader.. Anyway... this first contest is just a simple quiz but being wrapped inside a red packet... they get random questions pertaining to Chinese New Year and place those contest cards into a box in the staffroom. Prizes for 20 students who get all answers right!

If you've not read the ad already, it's going to be a peeling contest/designing competition whereby the kids will be given a specific amount of time and oranges to design something cool. Anything goes and just RM1 per entry. They get 2 oranges to design and carve so everyone is a winner anyway with a minimum prize of 2 oranges! hahahaha...

*cue cheezy Chinese New Year songs

2011+1

Let's just start this new year by showing this:

2 Years. It has been 2 years that I've brought up this class and geared them up for their SPM. I wish all of them the very best and I know they can be successful if they put their hearts and souls into whatever they plan on doing. Cheers Dalton. Nice t-shirt too.

Many aren't in the picture, but this collection of teachers certainly are a different bunch of people. They can really crack you up and drive you up the wall at the same time. Nevertheless, stellar and... certainly eye-opening.

Only one of the 7 English teachers isn't present. She must be busy (as always) and Rosnah will always be the most senior teacher in the school. Longest serving in SMKBGII. The other flowers around the fruit as you can see above have been nothing less but vigilant and inspiring. We bid farewell to one of our beloved teachers, Kak Su who will spread her knowledge and 16++ years of experience in Sibu Sarawak. We welcome a new teacher, Rafley who has big shoes to fill but we can already see his determination and excitement in filling in our voided chalice. Cheers to the English Panel of 2012!

Erm.... this one is just to prove that we are all a bit crazy. Well, they say that teachers have the highest probability of high-blood pressure right? So, this is a way to unwind. Some... did unwind more than others!!! AHHAHAHA

Happy New Year 2012.

Looking forward to having more excitement and adventures ahead!
